Six at Sixty - Number Three

6 @ 60 #3
4 x 4 oil on board

I continue celebrating the completion of my 6th decade of life with the third in my series of six self portraits...6 @ 60.  I am posting a self portrait every few days...posting the sixth one on my birthday.  What I realize now is that if I had started this telling my husband I should get a present every time I post one of these it would have made the celebration even better.  Ah, wisdom...I am almost 60...where are you???

  1. Wonderful mood and sculptured brushwork in this one! 3 for 3 in amazing self portraits so far- keep 'em coming! Great idea and yes, you should have added in the gift potential!! haha

  2. Beautiful! And even though it's number 3, he could do 4-6 and give you TWO presents since he has to catch up! It's not too late!

  3. What.... you aren't getting a present each time? Now I find that hard to believe ...*giggle. Another really nice portrait. I love seeing the brush strokes. Keep em commin' Maria, these are really great and I hope you frame each and every one you finish and hang them all together,

  4. Another great one Maria! I'm enjoying this series.

  5. Ths is such a good idea. I feel like I know you better with each portrait. You are painting from the heart (and a few years of experience).

  6. The photo on your blog on the right is so lovely, can't you use this one for a next painting?
