My goal for this piece was to simply show dark and lights…to project a likeness with as little information as possible. I was doing great and then I started to knit pick to I had to stop. I used a photo resource of a beautiful young woman who works at Huckleberry Fine Art in Rockville, Md. It is a fabulous gallery…if you want to see some great artwork and have a great time…stop by! When I asked if I could use Kerilynn's picture for a resource she generously consented.
So day 5 of Leslie Saeta's 30 in 30 challenge…a day of mostly rest…produced this sketch.
Tomorrow I have the enormous pleasure of painting from a live model! I am spending the rest of today setting up the scene and sketching so I will be ready for her!
