Roxie Girl - Portrait of a Puppy

Roxie Girl
6 x 6
Oil on Board
NFS

This small painting was done for the Daily Paintworks weekly challenge.   The challenge this week is to paint an animal close up and was issued by Taryn Day  She is a fabulous artist who's work can be seen on her blog...Awake and Painting.

When visiting my son, daughter in law and grandson I had the chance to take some pictures of their beloved Roxie Girl.  I am happy to say they love the little "mug shot" of Roxie Girl!

  1. I honestly love this painting ... errrr mug shot I guess you'd call it. What a delightful looking dog. I'm going to have to say THIS one is one of my very favorites Maria. A winner for sure. Two thumbs up!

  2. Love this SO much Maria! She has such a serious expression but the way you've painted her makes her so lively and fun too. Just beautiful. Of course they loved it!

  3. I like this portrait. It doesn't look "finished" but you capture the overall look of Roxie. This is great!

  4. Roxie Girl is adorable! Love how you did the eyes so expressive, and added red to the face. Nice and loose! Great job!
